OXIDATION + ASSISTED BIOREMEDIATION
This successful combination of processes is used when contaminants are resistant to bacteriological action: extreme pH or high solids contents.
Total oxidation is effective, but its cost is four or fives times higher than Bioremediation when hydrocarbons concentration are very high or large volumes are to be treated.
In cases of contaminants resistant to bacterial action, we use a combination of a previous partial oxidation followed by Assisted Bioremediation.
Thus we can degrade certain drilling muds (oil based) or old contaminated materials which contain solid components hard to treat directly with bacteria.
The sum of both processes produces satisfactory results and costs which are typically 40% of those of pure oxidation.
Typical applications
- Remediation of repositories of contaminated materials
- Drilling muds (oil based)
- Spills produced by ruptured oil ducts
- Distillery yards or tank farms areas
In all of these cases we have records of procedures used and results obtained.
